Supervision, maintenance and operation of a fleet of geophysical measurement sensors

Problem

The design, deployment, monitoring and maintenance in operational conditions of geophysical measurement stations for environmental monitoring.

Solution

For several years, the IT Link for Science teams have been developing tools for the management of a fleet of seismic and infrasound sensors that meet R&D, compliance monitoring, and supervision needs around the world.
The R&D tool makes it possible to define, test and validate in the laboratory and on measurement benches, the procedures for establishing the conformity of the various sensors.
The procedures thus developed can be fed back into the sensor park compliance management tool. This tool ensures the execution and traceability of verifications, with the aim of minimizing all human errors. Modular, it makes it possible to define sequences of operations ranging from operator instructions to the control of complex measurement equipment.
In the field, a tool allows operators to connect to the various sensors to allow their configuration, verify the acquired signals and launch acquisition quality control operations.
Finally, a web tool, deployed in the various equipment, makes it possible to carry out local maintenance operations and to ensure the proper functioning of the system using probes and performance indicators. This tool is also deployed on the central supervision site of the park, making it possible to visualize the probes and indicators of all the equipment. The modular solution can be deployed at the scale of an equipment, a site or the supervision center.
